Taught by award-winning comedian Nancy Witter, this multi-week course at Dead Crow Comedy Room takes you from concept to stage. You'll learn:
- How to find your comedic voice
- Joke structure and writing techniques
- Stage presence and microphone skills
- Timing, callbacks, and crowd work basics
The course culminates in a graduation showcase where you'll perform your material for a live audience!

After the Class
Once you've graduated, Wilmington has plenty of open mics to keep practicing. Many class alumni become regulars at Dead Crow's Thursday open mic and eventually start booking paid gigs around town.
