About Dead Crow Comedy Room
Dead Crow Comedy Room is the only full-time, dedicated comedy club in Wilmington, NC. Located on Front Street in the heart of downtown, it's where you'll find nationally touring headliners, local open mics, improv shows, and pretty much everything comedy-related in the Port City.
The room is intimate — about 100 seats — which means there's not a bad seat in the house. It has a full bar, a real stage with professional lighting and sound, and the kind of atmosphere that makes live comedy work. If you've only seen stand-up on Netflix, seeing it in a room this small is a completely different experience.
Weekly Schedule
Dead Crow runs shows Wednesday through Saturday most weeks. Here's the typical lineup:
| Night | Show | Time | Tickets |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wednesday | DareDevil Improv Night | 8:00 PM | ~$10 |
| Thursday | Open Mic + Headliner | 8:00 PM | Free–$10 |
| Friday | Weekend Headliner | 7:00 & 9:30 PM | $15–$30 |
| Saturday | Weekend Headliner | 7:00 & 9:30 PM | $15–$30 |
The Wednesday and Thursday shows are great for casual nights out. Friday and Saturday headliner shows bring in touring comedians you may have seen on Comedy Central, Netflix, or late night TV. Check the Dead Crow website for the current lineup and to buy tickets.
Wednesday: Improv Night
DareDevil Improv performs every Wednesday. It's fully improvised comedy based on audience suggestions — no two shows are ever the same. It's interactive, unpredictable, and a fun midweek outing. Read more on our improv in Wilmington guide.
Thursday: Open Mic + Headliner
Thursday starts with a comedy open mic where anyone can sign up for 5 minutes of stage time. After the open mic wraps, the week's headliner takes the stage for a set. It's a good night to see new comedians finding their voice and an established pro back to back.
Friday & Saturday: Weekend Headliners
The main events. Dead Crow books nationally touring comedians for the weekend, usually with two shows per night (an early show around 7 PM and a late show around 9:30 PM). A local opener typically starts the show, followed by the headliner's full set. These are the shows to bring friends to or book for a date night.
